NASA Funds Development Of Autonomous Spacecraft That Uses Blockchain

NASA awarded a grant of $330,000 to Jin Wei Kocsis, an assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering at the University of Akron, Ohio. Her research intends to examine if the Ethereum platform can allow spacecrafts to operate without human intervention. If successful, the technology will allow spacecrafts to automatically detect and avoid debris in space. Talk about entrusting your life to blockchain technology!
